Situated on the very stylish Lamb’s Conduit Street, Volte face is surrounded by foodie hot spot’s and fashionable menswear boutiques. The store sells design-led gifts, stand-out stationery, artists’ products and books, with an emphasis on fun!
The inspiration for the name Volte Face comes from their parent company ‘Turnaround’ (Volte -face : meaning U-Turn, or to turn around in French). The shop itself is beautifully laid out, with the interiors designed by retail giant, Kit Grover. Clean white pegboard, steel and glass draw the eye and display the products superbly.
Friends and studio neighbours of Just Trade, Garudio Studiage were recently asked to create a fabulous new window display for the shop during London Design Festival, named ‘London Belongs to You’, it explored the British obsession with property ownership, as well as looking at London’s architectural and design landscape, past and present.
