Fair Trader is a not for profit Community Cooperative owned by over 500 members. They have a great range of products from producers in Africa, Asia, South America and Europe.
Amongst their suppliers are:
York Scarves works with an Indian Weaving Cooperative in Bihar, helped by them they now sell their wonderful scarves to 15 countries bringing stability and education to one of the poorest parts of the sub-continent.
The Green Glass Company supply Fair Trader with unique glasses made from recycled bottles, made in the UK with a helping hand to Africa. They send their recycling technology to Africa creating employment for the local people.
And of course… us! We are very proud to be supplying Fair Trader, they have such a lovely ethos which fits perfectly with our own.

Coming up in July they have Holmfirth Art Week where they’ll be displaying work from mixed media artist Alice Fox and potter Jo Myerscough. A preview evening takes place tomorrow (5th July) from 18.30pm and Art Week from 6th to 13th July.
