The World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) grant accreditation to Fair Trade Organisations who fully comply with the Ten Principles of Fair Trade and the WFTO Code of Practice.
It is a global network of organisations representing the Fair Trade supply chain. They aim to improve the livelihoods of marginalised artisan producers and workers, especially in the Global South and strive to change unfair structures of international trade.

The British Association for Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers (BAFTS) is a membership organisation for businesses that sell fairly traded goods, whether on a wholesale or retail basis. Membership is granted to those who can evidence clear commitment to complying to the Ten Principles of Fair Trade as set out by the WFTO. Every two years, members are required to account for all they have done to fulfil these criteria in the way that they work with producer groups and set targets, against which membership is reviewed in the future.

Since 1999 the Ethical Consumer Markets Report has been acting as an important barometer of UK spending. They track sales data across a wide range of consumer sectors and publish the ndings. The reports are trusted and used by businesses, academics and the UK Government.

Fashion Revolution is a social enterprise. They aim to unite people and organisations to work together towards radically changing the way our clothes are sourced, produced and consumed, so that our clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way.
Fashion Revolution Week in April is part of the #whomademyclothes campaign. This falls on the anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, which killed 1138 people and injured many more on 24th April 2013. During this week, brands and producers are encouraged to respond with the hashtag #imadeyourclothes and to demonstrate transparency in their supply chain.
