We are very proud to be stocking the London Zoo shops. The Zoo has always been one of our fave London attractions. (we do love the odd animal here at JT studios, as I’m sure many of you have noticed)
We got an amazing opportunity to hang out at Penguin beach a couple of weeks ago with our lovely fellow ACE members, and got to watch the penguins enjoy their dinner. It was fantastic! I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Since stocking the zoo we’ve found out all sort of crazy facts that we didn’t know… the most incredible thing is the immense amount of good work London Zoo is able to do not only in the UK, but all across the world. For example, they have projects locating the remaining populations of threatened species, promoting sustainable wildlife-human relations in local communities, training future conservationists and that’s just to name a few!

It’s also incredible to see how many animals London Zoo have accommodated in their history, which are now extinct. One of which, called a Quagga (that looked like a cross between a zebra and a horse, photo below) , lived at the zoo some time between 1864 – 1870. During this time London Zoo managed to snap the only living photos of this species before it became extinct!
