Stockist of the Month | St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul’s is one of the most iconic buildings in London’s skyline, with its world-famous dome… and Just Trade have been supplying the shop for just over 6 years!

The venue itself is stunning and well worth a visit, with the Whispering Gallery (my personal favourite), the Crypt and the multimedia tours there’s LOADS to see and do. For generations, the Cathedral was the tallest building in London and can be seen framed perfectly by trees and foliage from the top of Nunhead Cemetery Hill (there’s a fact for all you fellow South Londoners).

The shop is full of treats, including a vast range of Just Trade products, the highlight of which being a bespoke collection specially made for St Pauls, inspired by the intricate polished oak and lime wood carvings from the american Chapel in St Paul’s Cathedral, which faithfully depicts indigenous American birds, fruits and flowers.

The woodwork dates from 1958 when the chapel was dedicated in a ceremony, attended by HM Queen Elizabeth II and Richard M.Nixon, then US vice president, together with the next of kin of American servicemen honoured there. The work was credited to Ratee and Kett Ltd of Cambridge, under the direction of W.F.Haslop, O.B.E.

The collection was made by Carlos and his friends.
