After surviving a severe earthquake in March 2005, Hong Kong based designer Cassandra Postema was inspired to work to create more designs for the fledgling charity t-shirt line, Hopetees, where each t-shirt design raises money for a charity working in Asia.

Out of the success of Hopetees, Dialog was launched in 2006 to be a design hub producing fashion products which help micro businesses in impoverished areas in Asia with an emphasis on recycled materials.

The recycled trimming on Dialog products is made by various micro-businesses using traditional Asian craft techniques in modern designs. These workshops develop skills and create income for drug rehabilitation centres, women empowerment initiatives and community development projects in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Malaysia.
